US raises alarm over reports of Israeli espionage targeting American officials

The Israeli embassy in Washington has called the allegations “completely false,” stating its intelligence gathering is directed at enemies, not allies. A White House official also dismissed the report. The heightened alert comes amid reported policy disagreements between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over potential military action against Iran and operations in Lebanon.
