Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has criticised the federal government for assigning a “low priority” to Karachi, particularly in the development of the national motorway network. He stated that the city’s infrastructure is under extraordinary strain from heavy traffic and migration from across the country.

To address these issues, Memon said the provincial government is launching a project for a state-of-the-art transport terminal on the Northern Bypass and developing a railway line to divert goods traffic from the city. He also expressed confidence that the PPP would “clean sweep” the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
