Police expand probe into Anmol alias Pinky online drug scandal

The investigation into an online drug scandal involving Anmol alias Pinky has expanded, with significant progress being made. The probe concerns online drug sales across Karachi’s elite areas and a transnational drug ring. Following the arrest, a major crackdown against the alleged drug network has begun.

Investigators have found multiple influential and big names on a list associated with the accused. The Inspector General of Sindh has also made shocking revelations about big names being involved. It is alleged that Pinky controlled Punjab’s elite circles and “black sheep.”

The case has led to disciplinary action within the police force. SSP City Ali Hassan was removed and suspended over providing court protocol to Anmol. The reasons for the SSP’s suspension have been revealed, and an inquiry into the provision of protocol has been completed. Two policemen have been arrested, and half of one police station has reportedly been suspended. Separately, two Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officers have been detained after CTD officials revealed links with the accused.

Anmol alias Pinky was remanded into physical custody for three days. Police plan to re-interrogate a key associate named Sameer. There has been a new development involving the Punjab Police, with the accused being transferred to Lahore. Authorities have raised security concerns over bringing Pinky to City Court, and it is reported she is under threat. A report on the case has been completed, as the scandal takes a new turn, causing a major upheaval.
