Libya Deports 177 Pakistani Nationals After Failed Europe Bid

ISLAMABAD – Libyan authorities have deported 177 Pakistani nationals who had entered the country illegally in an attempt to migrate to Europe.

The deportees arrived in Pakistan on a special flight and were taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for questioning. The individuals, mostly young men aged 18 to 35, had reportedly paid human smuggling agents between Rs 1 million and Rs 1.8 million each for the journey.

The group originated from various cities across Punjab and Islamabad, having traveled to Libya via Iran and Saudi Arabia. The FIA has added the agents involved to its Red Book and launched an investigation to dismantle the smuggling network.
