Iran Accuses US of War Crimes Over Civilian Infrastructure Strikes, Cites MoU Violations
Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, has written to the UN Secretary-General, accusing the United States of committing war crimes. Iravani stated that US attacks on civilian infrastructure fall under the category of war crimes. He further asserted that the US is the oppressor, not the oppressed, and has consistently refused to implement the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
According to Iravani, there are records of 42 violations of this MoU by the United States. Iran claims that US actions have endangered regional stability and global peace.
