Thirty newly elected members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly were sworn in, including 21 on general seats, six women on reserved seats, and three technocrats. The session was administered by the outgoing speaker.

Following the elections, a new coalition government is set to be formed by the PPP, which secured 13 seats, and the PML-N, with nine seats. The IPP, holding six seats, will also support the alliance. PPP’s Advocate Amjad Hussain is expected to become the chief minister, with Imran Nadeem as speaker and PML-N’s Malik Kifayat as deputy speaker.
