The Punjab Home Department has prohibited the donation of sacrificial animal hides to banned and monitored organizations, warning that any assistance to such groups is a punishable offense under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997. The list of proscribed outfits includes Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, Jaish-i-Mohammed, and Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, among others.

Citizens are urged to donate hides only to organizations registered with the Punjab Charity Commission or those holding valid permits from deputy commissioners. The public can verify registered charities via QR codes and report any illegal collection activities to designated helplines. A similar ban on hide collection by unauthorized groups has also been implemented in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
