An Anti-Terrorism Court in Turbat has sentenced Sajid Ahmed, described as a key facilitator for the proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), to 14 years in prison. He received an additional seven-year sentence under the Balochistan Arms Act.

According to reports, Ahmed was arrested by security forces in Panjgur with weapons and explosives. The investigation reportedly revealed his involvement in recruiting students for the banned outfits and his links to foreign networks. He was also allegedly tasked with preparing a vehicle for a suicide attack.

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Quetta has sentenced Mahrang Baloch, a leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), to life imprisonment. Another BYC leader, Sibghatullah, also received a life sentence in the same case. The two were sentenced in connection with the death of a security official in Gwadar. According to reports, the official died after being struck by a stone during a BYC protest. The trial for both leaders was conducted online from District Jail Quetta.

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Quetta on Monday handed life sentences to Mahrang Baloch, chief organiser of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), and another leader, Sibghatullah Shahji. The verdict was announced by Judge Muhammad Ali Mobeen of ATC Quetta-1.

The case was related to a protest in Gwadar in 2024 that turned violent, leading to the death of a Frontier Corps (FC) soldier. The soldier died from injuries sustained after being hit by stones thrown by a mob. Both Mahrang Baloch and Sibghatullah Shahji have been in jail for the past two years in connection with multiple cases.
