US sends proposals to Iran through Pakistan

Iran is actively formulating a response to new proposals received from the United States, which were reportedly delivered via Pakistan in a significant diplomatic development. According to an Iranian news agency, the American message has succeeded in reducing differences between the two sides to some extent.

The agency reported that discussions within Iran are centered on a broad framework, specific details, and confidence-building measures that would act as guarantees. However, it was also noted that an end to what Tehran describes as “US war threats” is considered necessary to further bridge the remaining disagreements.

Meanwhile, the potential for a deal has reportedly caused friction between the US and its key regional ally, Israel. An American news website has claimed that a “bitter exchange” of words took place between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the proposals for a possible agreement with Iran.

During a telephone conversation, President Trump reportedly informed Prime Minister Netanyahu that mediators are working on a “letter of intent” for both the United States and Iran to sign. Washington is now awaiting Tehran’s formal reply, with President Trump stating previously that he expects a response within a few days.
