US CENTCOM Chief Calls Pakistan a Key Counter-Terrorism Partner

The commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper, described Pakistan as a key and reliable partner in counter-terrorism efforts during a briefing to a U.S. Senate committee.

He stated that the strong military partnership between the two countries has yielded tangible and positive results against terrorist groups. The admiral particularly noted Pakistan’s role against ISIS-Khorasan, highlighting that this cooperation strengthens the collective strategy against terrorist networks.

Admiral Cooper also noted that due to the presence of terrorist groups, Afghanistan remains the top country on the U.S. monitoring list.
