The United States and Iran have agreed to establish a direct communication channel between their militaries to help reduce regional tensions, according to remarks by JD Vance.

The arrangement will reportedly involve officials from the US Central Command and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) meeting in Doha, Qatar, to address disputes and prevent escalation.

Vance stated that the direct military-level engagement would allow both sides to manage tensions and resolve a range of issues more effectively. He also revealed that the United Arab Emirates has established new communication channels with Iran, including direct talks with the IRGC.

According to Vance, the UAE and Iran are holding unprecedented discussions focused on economic incentives and broader diplomatic engagement. These developments are part of growing regional and international efforts to expand dialogue with Tehran.
