The deceased have been identified as Naveed Wazir and Moeenuddin Wazir, sons of prominent tribal elder Malik Jamil Wazir. The two brothers were reportedly travelling on a motorcycle near Kari Kot Bazaar when they were targeted by the unidentified gunmen, dying at the scene.

This is not the first time the family has been attacked. In September 2024, another of Malik Jamil Wazir’s sons was killed in a bomb attack that also left the elder himself injured.
