The “Suthra Punjab” campaign set new standards for cleanliness during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, collecting a record 222,000 tons of sacrificial animal waste across the province in the first two days. The massive operation involved vehicles covering over 3.2 million kilometers to clear remains from cities and villages.
The clean-up was digitally monitored through Safe City cameras and drones, with control rooms overseeing the process around the clock. Following waste collection, streets and public spaces were washed with disinfectant and scented with rose water. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised the efforts of the entire team, and citizens widely appreciated the successful campaign, which reportedly achieved a 100% complaint resolution rate.
