Strait of Hormuz Oil Shipments Return to Pre-War Levels, Says US VP

United States Vice President JD Vance has stated that oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz have returned to pre-war levels, contributing to a noticeable decrease in global oil prices.

In a statement, Vance noted that on some days, the volume of oil passing through the strait has even surpassed figures from before the conflict began. He added that while the global economy is reactivating, a full recovery will take time.

Regarding diplomatic efforts, the US Vice President commented on negotiations with Iran, stating that America would be in a strong position even if the talks were to fail. He suggested that if ongoing negotiations for a permanent solution are successful, it would lead to a fundamental change in Iran.

Vance also highlighted that a core principle of both the Lebanon-Israel peace agreement and a US-Iran memorandum of understanding is the respect for Lebanon’s territorial integrity.
