Severe heatwave grips Pakistan with soaring temperatures and warnings

An intense heatwave is sweeping across the country, with temperatures soaring in multiple provinces. Extreme heat grips Lahore, where the temperature has reached 42°C, while a heatwave also continues in Islamabad.

The Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert, a heatwave warning, and a severe heat alert. A 50°C threat has been noted amid questions of whether the country is under a deadly “Heat Dome”. As questions arise about when rain will arrive, a rain prediction has also been issued.
