Saudi Arabia issues Hajj 2027 update; online registration begins.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Monday formally launched the online registration process for Hajj 2027. In a launch ceremony, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yusuf confirmed that intending pilgrims, including overseas Pakistanis, can now register online for free. Applicants must choose between the government or private scheme during this initial stage.

While a passport is not required for the initial registration, it will be mandatory for the booking phase, which will operate on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. The passport must be valid until at least November 26, 2027. Final costs and other details will be announced later in the Hajj Policy 2027.
