Saqlain Mushtaq offers to release voice message to counter Tauseef Ahmed’s claims

Former Test cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq has offered to publicly release a voice message he sent to Tauseef Ahmed to counter allegations regarding Shadab Khan's selection. Speaking on the matter, Saqlain stated that he and Tauseef never spoke directly on the phone, but exchanged missed calls before he sent the message around two and a half years ago.

Saqlain expressed his willingness for the voice message to be made public to clarify the situation. He questioned the timing and motive of the allegations, noting that Tauseef is his senior. He also reiterated that Shadab Khan was an established cricketer long before his marriage to Saqlain's daughter, and expressed that the repeated accusations affect both Shadab and his family.

Former Test cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq has commented on the state of spin bowling in Pakistan, stating that the preparation of spinners lacks the required consistency. In a recent interview, he called for a clear vision and specialized management to develop spin talent.

Saqlain suggested that the responsibility for a specialized department like spin bowling should be given to an expert who understands its demands and is provided with the authority and confidence to work freely. He attributed current issues to a lack of professionalism and accountability.

During the interview, he also reiterated his rejection of the allegations previously made by former cricketer Tauseef Ahmed regarding team selection.
