The Petroleum Division has announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 4 per litre for the upcoming week, setting the new price at Rs 377.78.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel will remain unchanged at Rs 380.78 per litre. The revised prices will take effect after midnight.

The latest reduction in petrol prices marks the fourth consecutive weekly cut, bringing the cumulative decline to approximately Rs 37 per litre. The adjustment, effective for the week ending June 12, is attributed to changes in global oil prices.

To keep the price of high-speed diesel stable, the government made adjustments in taxes and levies. Current taxes on petrol stand at approximately Rs 125 per litre, while taxes on high-speed diesel are about Rs 100 per litre.

The federal government has announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 4 per litre for the next pricing cycle, effective June 6, 2026. The new ex-depot price of petrol will be Rs 377.78, down from Rs 381.78.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) will remain unchanged at Rs 380.78 per litre. This latest adjustment follows a significant price cut last week, where the rates for both petrol and diesel were slashed by Rs 22 per litre amid fluctuations in the international oil market.
