Rana Sanaullah Responds to Fazlur Rehman, Defends Govt’s Kashmir Policy

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has responded to criticism from Maulana Fazlur Rehman concerning Kashmir and a list of 38 demands.

In his remarks, Mr. Sanaullah explained the government’s position on the demands raised during the Rawalakot protests. He stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had fulfilled a “60-year-old demand of Kashmiris” in Azad Kashmir.

Speaking during a session of the National Assembly, Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah stated that protests in Azad Jammu and Kashmir are currently limited to a sit-in being staged in Rawalakot, with no protests occurring elsewhere. He also clarified the government’s position on its authority over assembly seats in AJK. During his remarks, Mr. Sanaullah welcomed the efforts of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman regarding the situation in the region.
