Punjab Public Hospitals See 16% Rise in Patient Attendance, Says CM Maryam Nawaz

Punjab's public hospital system has seen a significant rise in patient numbers, according to a report presented to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The data shows a 16% overall increase in attendance at major tertiary care hospitals, with the total number of patients exceeding 45.7 million. The rise is reflected across various departments, including a 21% increase in OPD visits and an 11% rise in admissions. The government also highlighted the delivery of over 2.1 million medicine parcels for cancer and cardiac patients.
