PTI MPA’s Aide Forcibly Restores Power at Peshawar Grid Station

An aide acting on the instructions of PTI Member of Provincial Assembly Fazal Elahi has forcibly restored electricity at the Rehman Baba grid station in Peshawar. The individual entered the facility and switched on multiple feeders. A PESCO spokesperson stated that 80% of the station's feeders are designated as 'high-loss' due to widespread electricity theft and non-payment of bills, necessitating load management. The spokesperson also reported that the aide misbehaved with and intimidated staff, and warned that forcibly restoring power to these feeders could increase financial losses.
