PTI Clarifies No Active Talks with Government, Awaits Response

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has announced that party founder Imran Khan has authorised Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Nasir Abbas to conduct political negotiations.

In a statement on Wednesday, July 1, the PTI chairman also affirmed that while the party is backing the talks, it will simultaneously continue its protests.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan clarified on Wednesday that the party is not currently engaged in talks with the government. He stated that matters have not progressed beyond the initial offer for negotiations made by the opposition.

Speaking to reporters, Gohar said it is now the government’s responsibility to respond to the offer. He cautioned that the proposal for dialogue should not be perceived as a sign of weakness.
