PML-N Secures AJK Mandate, Focus Shifts to Next Prime Minister

Rana Sanaullah, adviser to the Prime Minister on political affairs, has stated that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured the mandate in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, winning 24 seats, which is one more than required to form a government. He described the elections as unprecedentedly transparent and asserted that the people of Azad Kashmir have trusted the promises of Nawaz Sharif. Sanaullah pledged that the PML-N would establish a model of development in AJK, initiating projects similar to those in Punjab, such as motorways, universities, and hospitals, and bringing initiatives like the Green Bus service and health cards. He emphasized the deep connection between Pakistan and Kashmir, stating, "Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir; Kashmir is Pakistan's jugular vein." In a related development, Amir Muqam has reportedly made an important announcement regarding the formation of the PML-N government in AJK.
