MDCAT 2026 Rescheduled to September 20 on PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Directives

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has confirmed that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) for 2026 was rescheduled to September 20 following direct instructions from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Prime Minister directed PMDC authorities to prioritize exam integrity and student convenience, leading the council to postpone the test to upgrade security protocols and streamline logistics. This decision, aimed at ensuring a transparent, secure, and organized test environment, serves the best public interest by allowing testing bodies to set up well-organized centers and prevent technical or administrative failures.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) confirmed that approximately 136,000 students have registered for the MDCAT 2026. The examination is scheduled to be held in 35 cities across the country, with an additional center established in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
