PM Shehbaz Offers Condolences on Barrister Gohar’s Mother’s Demise

Upon his return to Pakistan from Madinah, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed condolences on the passing of Barrister Gohar's mother. He prayed for the elevation of the deceased and for patience for her family, stating that his sympathies are with Barrister Gohar Ali and his family during this difficult time.

The visit focused on translating existing political commitments into practical coordination, particularly in defense cooperation. Key areas identified for collaboration include joint training, intelligence cooperation, air defense, counterterrorism, military technology, and defense production.

Economically, Pakistan is seeking Saudi investment in productive sectors such as agriculture, food security, ports, highways, airports, and energy, moving beyond a reliance on deposits, loans, and deferred payments.

The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi.

According to available reports, a significant tripartite defence agreement was signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey during the visit. The pact is aimed at enhancing defence cooperation and strengthening relations between the three countries.

At the airport in Madinah, Governor Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz bid farewell to the prime minister and the Pakistani delegation. The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
