PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets UN Humanitarian Affairs Chief

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with United Nations Under-Secretary-General Tom Fletcher. During their discussion, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for a coordinated and effective strategy to address complex humanitarian crises globally. He also expressed satisfaction with Pakistan’s assistance in this area.

The Prime Minister appreciated the UN institution’s cooperation in strengthening Pakistan’s capacity to manage natural disasters. He noted that Pakistan’s governmental and provincial institutions have improved their ability to deal with natural disasters over recent years, and stressed the importance of further streamlining these efforts.
