PM Shehbaz briefs President Zardari on trilateral agreement and security

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Saturday to discuss key national and international matters.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister briefed the President on a historic trilateral peace agreement involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. President Zardari praised the agreement as a positive step for defence cooperation and regional peace.

The President commended the efforts of Prime Minister Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir in strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia and Turkey, aiming to transform them into a strategic partnership. He stated that such diplomatic initiatives would enhance Pakistan's global standing and positively impact the economy and the lives of the people.

The two leaders also discussed the country's security situation, paying tribute to the professionalism of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in their operations against terrorism. They reiterated their resolve to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the nation.

Additionally, President Zardari stressed the importance of implementing effective measures to provide economic relief to the public, ensuring the supply of essential goods at reasonable prices.
