Opposition Parties Announce Nationwide Protests for Friday
A coalition of opposition parties has announced it will hold nationwide protests on Friday under the ‘Tahaffuz-e-Aain-e-Pakistan’ (Protect Pakistan’s Constitution) movement. The demonstrations are being organized to protest issues that include rising petroleum product prices. In response, government representative Rana Sanaullah has extended an open invitation for dialogue to the opposition. He stated that a meeting with the Prime Minister could be arranged within 24 hours to discuss their concerns.
