Mitchell Marsh Doubtful for Pakistan ODIs; Josh Inglis May Lead Australia
RAWALPINDI – Australian captain Mitchell Marsh is a doubtful starter for the upcoming one-day international series against Pakistan due to an ankle injury sustained during the IPL. In his absence, wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis is the leading candidate to captain the side.
Both teams held practice sessions in Rawalpindi ahead of the first ODI scheduled for May 30. The subsequent matches will be played in Lahore on June 2 and 4. Australian batter Matthew Short told reporters the team was not concerned by the hot weather and was focused on improving its performance against spin.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani squad will break for the Eid ul Azha holidays before resuming their practice session on May 29.
