Mir Raza case: Commission aids driver who lost housing after cooperating

The judicial commission investigating the death of Mir Raza Ali has intervened to assist a Bykea driver who reportedly lost his housing and vehicle after cooperating with the inquiry.

During proceedings, the driver, Ihsanullah, informed the commission that his landlord had evicted him and the company had taken back his vehicle, forcing him to stay at a police station. The commission noted that Ihsanullah was not a suspect but had fully cooperated with the victim's family in the search for the missing entrepreneur.

The commission has directed the investigating officer, DSP Siraj Lashari, to contact the landlord and Bykea's management to assure them no coercive action would be taken and to help restore the driver's circumstances. According to a written order, the commission also recorded the statements of Mir Raza’s business partners Muhammad Abdullah and Ahmed, driver Ihsanullah, and DSP Arshad Afridi.

Mr. Bhardey claimed their joint eatery was performing well, but that the victim's family was facing financial issues and Mir Raza was worried about creditors harassing his father.

Zia Lanjar has issued a statement regarding the ongoing investigation into the murder of Mir Raza, promising that justice will be served. "Name the killer, we’ll hang him," Lanjar stated, addressing the case.
