The resumption of shipping between Iran and Qatar follows developments linked to a temporary agreement signed last month between Tehran and Washington, according to state media reports. The agreement reportedly aimed to end recent hostilities and called for a return to normal maritime movement in the Gulf region.

Iran’s commercial attaché in Doha, Abbas Abdolkhani, confirmed that shipping activity between Iran’s Dayyer port and Qatar’s Al Ruwais port has restarted after coordination with Qatari authorities. Officials noted that some transit routes through the Gulf remain subject to ongoing disputes.

In a separate development, Iranian trade officials indicated in late June that goods from Iran were once again being processed at the United Arab Emirates’ Jebel Ali Port, one of the busiest shipping hubs in the region. Authorities described this as part of a broader, gradual recovery in commercial activity between Gulf states.
