Livestock Markets Open Across Pakistan Ahead of Eid-ul-Adha 2026

Livestock markets for Eid-ul-Adha 2026 have opened in cities including Lahore, Islamabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Karachi, Peshawar, Bahawalpur, and Multan. The market in Multan is being hosted as the biggest cattle market. Nearly 70,000 cattle have arrived at Lahore’s livestock market. In Islamabad, the cattle markets have been decorated, and arrivals of beautiful and healthy livestock have been reported. The buzz is growing in Peshawar’s cattle market, while excitement is rising in the markets of Bahawalpur.

The cattle market in Tando Muhammad Khan has opened amid rising prices. In contrast, Lahore’s cattle markets are reportedly less crowded this season. Traders at the Karachi Super Highway cattle market are facing difficulties. A new trend in the cattle trade is the selling of animals on weighing scales.

White bulls are attracting strong interest from buyers. One bull was sold for 300,000 rupees, and a citizen purchased four Rajan Lahori goats at a price described as stunning. Specific animals have gained attention, including bulls named Red Velvet and Badal at Shahpur Kanjra, whose prices were reported to have shocked observers. Other named animals entering the markets include Laal Badshah, Nawab, and a goat described as mischievous named Raja Babu. A trader at a Karachi cattle market was also noted for a unique style.
