Kuwait Praises Pakistan’s Role in Facilitating US-Iran Dialogue
Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, has praised Pakistan for its role in facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran amid ongoing regional tensions.
The commendation came during a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, where the two discussed recent regional and global developments. According to a statement from the Foreign Office, the Kuwaiti minister appreciated Pakistan’s continued mediatory role and its “constructive contribution to regional peace and security.”
This diplomatic exchange occurs as Iran is reportedly reviewing a proposed agreement with the United States to halt a conflict that has persisted for over three months. The conflict, which began after US and Israeli strikes against Iran, has reportedly led to a stalemate and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
During the call, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s support for diplomacy and continued dialogue as the most effective route to achieving long-term regional stability. Both sides expressed optimism that ongoing diplomatic initiatives would lead to positive results and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kuwait.
