Karachi forecast revised to light rain, thunderstorms from Sept 14-16

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a revised forecast, now predicting light rain with thunderstorms for Karachi from September 14 to 16. The weather in the city is expected to remain hot and humid until then, with maximum temperatures likely to range between 36 and 37 degrees Celsius.

While the forecast for Karachi has been adjusted to light rain, the PMD anticipates intermittent heavy rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds in other parts of Sindh. From the evening of September 13 to September 16, districts including Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, and Tando Muhammad Khan are expected to be affected.

From September 14 to 16, similar weather conditions are forecast for Sanghar, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Jamshoro.

The weather system, a low-pressure area currently over the northwestern Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Odisha, is expected to continue moving westward.
