Iran implements new shipping mechanism in Strait of Hormuz

Iran has developed and announced a new mechanism for operations in the Strait of Hormuz, according to Ebrahim Azizi. The plan includes a new designated shipping route system and is also being prepared as a new border plan. This development is described as Iran tightening its grip over the strait, and a plan for a new toll tax has also been revealed.

Iran has issued a warning in connection with the new mechanism, and a high alert is in place for the waterway. The situation in the Strait of Hormuz remains highly uncertain as tensions continue.

European countries are in talks with Iran to discuss shipping access, security, and how to navigate ships through the strait. A mission is underway to secure permission for ships. At the United Nations, China’s envoy has opposed a US resolution regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the timing is not appropriate. The Security Council is also addressing the issue of a potential closure of the strait.
