Indian Court Converts Historic Kamal Maula Mosque into Temple

An Indian court in Madhya Pradesh has ruled that the historic Kamal Maula Mosque is a Hindu temple, identifying it as part of the “Bhojshala complex.” The decision was based on a report from the Archaeological Survey of India and grants Hindus the right to worship at the 700-year-old site. Following the verdict, Hindu nationalist groups entered the mosque, where they installed idols and began performing rituals under police protection. Muslim groups have announced their intention to challenge the controversial decision in the Supreme Court.
