Story so far

On July 30, militants attacked the Khazina Banda police checkpost in Hangu, killing nine police personnel, including a DSP, and injuring 28. Security forces killed 15 terrorists in the ensuing gun battle. On August 2, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Hangu's Chapri Naryab area, killing the attack's mastermind, Amir Mauviya, a senior figure in the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
