An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore on Monday extended the physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hammad Azhar for an additional seven days in the Jinnah House attack case.
Azhar was produced before the court upon the completion of a 21-day physical remand. A state prosecutor argued for the extension, stating that police needed more time to recover the suspect’s mobile phone and SIM card, which they described as important evidence.
In court, Azhar questioned the need for further remand, noting he had already been in custody for 21 days for an incident at which he claims he was not present. He also complained about not being allowed to meet his lawyers or family members.
