Green Agri Malls to Boost Farmers’ Prosperity and Modern Agriculture

Over 50 Green Agri Malls are currently operating across Pakistan under the Green Pakistan Initiative, aiming to enhance agricultural production and reclaim barren lands for cultivation. These malls are designed to promote farmer prosperity and integrate modern agricultural technology.

Facilities at these malls cater to individuals involved in the agricultural sector and livestock, offering services such as vaccination, artificial insemination, manual mixer feed, and expert consultations. The primary objective of establishing Green Agri Malls is to protect farmers from exploitation and black marketing, ensuring fair practices.

Malik Muhammad Asghar stated that agriculture is vital for national progress and has the potential to position Pakistan among the world’s leading economies. These malls are expected to serve as central hubs for modern agricultural facilities, streamlining processes for farmers and reducing the need for them to visit multiple government departments.

Separately, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the significant contribution of farmers to national progress through their diligent efforts. He emphasized that the application of modern technology would revolutionize the livestock sector. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of collaborative efforts with provinces to achieve long-term goals, advocating for swift action over mere rhetoric.

He also highlighted China as a highly trusted friend and confirmed ongoing discussions with China regarding the transformation of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC).
