Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Wednesday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola increasing by Rs4,600 to reach Rs433,836. Similarly, 10-gram gold saw a rise of Rs3,944, bringing its price to Rs371,944. These rates were reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Internationally, the price of gold also increased by $46, reaching $4,114 per ounce. Silver prices in the local market also registered a gain, with one tola becoming Rs7 more expensive, now costing Rs6,403.

Gold prices in Pakistan opened the new business week on July 22, 2026, with further increases. The price of 24-karat gold per tola was recorded at 429,236 rupees, following an increase of 4,700 rupees in previous sessions. Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat gold opened at 368,000 rupees after a surge of 4,029 rupees.

The rates for other purities also saw adjustments: 22-karat gold is priced at 391,524 rupees per tola, 21-karat gold at 373,728 rupees per tola, and 18-karat gold at 320,338 rupees per tola.

Silver prices also rose, with one tola increasing by 219 rupees to open at 6,396 rupees, and 10 grams of silver standing at 5,483 rupees.

Internationally, gold opened at 4,068 dollars per ounce, increasing by 47 dollars in the previous session. Investors are reportedly adopting a cautious approach due to growing geopolitical uncertainty and expectations that persistent inflation could delay potential interest rate cuts by the U.S. Federal Reserve. Gold remains under pressure from a stronger U.S. dollar and expectations of tight monetary policy, though persistent demand for safe-haven assets is expected to limit significant declines.
