Gold Prices Plummet in Pakistan Following International Market Decline
Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant drop on Saturday, mirroring a sharp decline in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of one tola of gold fell by Rs 12,489, settling at Rs 455,327. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs 11,240 to Rs 389,772.
The local downturn followed a major correction in the global market, where the price per ounce of gold dropped by $124 to $4,328. This marks the second consecutive day of falling prices, after a decrease of Rs 1,469 per tola was recorded on Friday.
Meanwhile, the price of silver also saw a reduction, falling by Rs 463 to Rs 7,267 per tola.

In addition to the previously reported drop in per-tola silver prices, the cost for 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs 421, settling at Rs 6,202. In the international market, the price per ounce of silver was recorded at $67.88.
