Gold prices in Pakistan recorded fresh gains on Saturday, July 11, amid an upward trend in the international bullion market. Concurrently, silver surged to a new all-time high in the local market.

The price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,100 per tola, reaching Rs433,536. Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs943 to settle at Rs371,687. This increase follows a decline on Friday, when the per-tola rate had fallen by Rs1,400 to Rs432,436.

Internationally, gold prices also edged higher, with the global bullion rate rising by $11 per ounce to $4,111, a figure that includes a $20 premium. This global movement provided support to the domestic market’s upward trend.

Meanwhile, silver continued its strong rally in the local market, with its price increasing by Rs30 per tola to reach Rs6,462, marking a new record high.

Gold prices in Pakistan are closely linked to trends in the international bullion market and fluctuations in the rupee-dollar exchange rate. Changes in global gold prices are often reflected in the domestic market, serving as a key indicator for investors, jewellers, and consumers.
