Disagreements have emerged over joint candidates and party tickets for the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan elections, with the PTI failing to form alliances with the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM). PTI’s central leadership reportedly refused to contest the polls using either party’s electoral symbol.

An offer from MWM for an alliance on 16 seats was rejected, with PTI citing concerns over the ‘religious basis of the vote.’ Furthermore, a proposal for joint rallies was turned down due to a purported lack of funds.
