Ghana’s Chief of Defence Staff Lt Gen William Agyapong arrived at GHQ for a major military meeting in Pakistan. He met Pakistan’s CDF Asim Munir.

During his official visit to GHQ, Ghana’s Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong, and Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir agreed to deepen military-to-military engagement with a particular focus on joint counter-terrorism training and defence production initiatives. According to the ISPR, Lt Gen Agyapong praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and their role in regional stability.

The Ghanaian delegation’s visit also included high-level meetings with other service chiefs. Ghana’s National Security Coordinator, Abdul Razak Osman, accompanied by Lt Gen Agyapong, met with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, signaling a broad commitment to expanding strategic cooperation across all services.
