In response to the continuous increase in flour prices, flour mill owners have reportedly not increased the price of roti but have instead reduced its weight.

Reports from Punjab indicate that disruptions in the transportation of wheat and flour from Punjab are causing shortages and price hikes in the province. The annual wheat requirement for Peshawar alone is 1.4 million metric tons. Despite a reported surplus of 8.3 million metric tons of wheat, the issue of supply disruptions persists.

The Provincial Government raised the issue of disruptions in wheat and flour supply from Punjab with the Federal Government.
