First test flight successfully lands at New Gwadar International Airport
The first test flight successfully landed at the New Gwadar International Airport on Saturday, a major milestone that paves the way for regular domestic and international flight operations from the port city.
A South Air flight was welcomed by airport officials upon its arrival. The successful landing is being hailed as a significant step in enhancing Gwadar’s air connectivity and boosting its commercial and economic activities.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed his pleasure at the development, stating that the new air services will connect Gwadar with major cities across Pakistan, including Quetta, Lahore, and Islamabad. He added that improved air links will promote tourism, trade, and investment, strengthening the local economy and creating new employment opportunities.
