Finance Minister Discusses IMF and Budget Strategy

Finance Minister Aurangzeb discussed the budget strategy and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The Finance Minister stated that allies, provinces, and the IMF were taken into confidence before the budget, commenting on the budget delay. He also had an important talk concerning pressure the IMF put on the National Finance Commission (NFC). Regarding Budget 2026-27, the Finance Minister addressed circular debt and a government new plan, also clarifying his stance on privatization. Separately, Dr. Farrukh Saleem explained the Pakistan IMF 25th Program and discussed whether it would be the last IMF deal.
