Field Marshal Asim Munir Reiterates Strong Stance Against Cross-Border Terrorism

Field Marshal Asim Munir has stated that attempts to destabilize Pakistan have failed. This comes as the armed forces remain fully aware of state-sponsored efforts by hostile intelligence agencies to undermine national stability.

Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Army Staff, stated on Wednesday that the armed forces are fully aware of state-sponsored attempts by hostile intelligence agencies to destabilise Pakistan. He reiterated that such proxy networks would not be allowed to undermine the country’s internal security or economic prosperity.

Separately, ISPR Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held a press briefing, reporting that since July 5, four civilians, 27 policemen, and 11 security personnel have been martyred in Balochistan. During the same period, 54 terrorists were killed in attacks and subsequent operations in the region.

The Field Marshal emphasized that Pakistani Forces are adapting their warfighting doctrine to meet evolving security demands. He issued a stern warning that state-sponsored attempts to destabilize Pakistan through proxy networks would be defeated. He further stressed that terrorism originating from across the borders would be dealt with using the full strength of the state, and operations would continue to dismantle terrorist sanctuaries, proxy infrastructure, and facilitators.

Additionally, the participants condemned all forms of state-supported financing, facilitation, or sponsorship of proxies and highlighted an increased reliance on externally supported hybrid warfare and disinformation campaigns.
