Federal Budget Approaches as Public Awaits Key Government Announcements

The federal government has proposed allocating significant funds for various ongoing and new development projects in Karachi in the upcoming budget. According to budget documents, a sum of Rs 1.98 billion is proposed for the Green Line bus service.

Further proposals include Rs 370 million for infrastructure restoration in Nazimabad and Liaquatabad, and Rs 350 million for roads, water, and drainage projects in Landhi and Korangi. New initiatives are also suggested, including Rs 400 million for the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Centre, Rs 390 million for upgrading the National Research and Fertility Care, and Rs 50 million for establishing a National University of Nursing in the city.
