Car plows into tent outside Karachi Imambargah

A fast Suzuki plowed into a tent outside an Imambargah in Karachi’s DHA Phase 6. The incident left 11 injured, and one suspect was detained.

Following a crash in Karachi’s DHA Phase VI where a car plowed into a religious gathering, police have taken the driver and two other occupants of the vehicle into custody. The number of injured in the incident has risen to 11.

Security camera footage reportedly shows the vehicle travelling at high speed before the driver lost control. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and directed authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation. Initial reports provided to the chief minister suggested a possible brake failure may have caused the crash.
